As explained earlier, I hosted a 70's-studio 54 vibed party this weekend atAva Lounge atop the Dream hotel. The venue was perfect for our gather offering couches and an entire private, back corner to dance The Hustle. Absolutely check it out, if you are on the hunt for a space because it is quite pretty & the staff was really very lovely. Every guest, TURNED IT OUT. Here are some amazing highlights...Don't be jealous, you weren't invited ;)
Saturday night I will be hosting a fabulous gathering with a 70's vibe, for my up coming birthday.. To get prepared, here are some throw-backs.. Oh, yeah.
This dress is just too fabulous NOT to talk about...
After countless hours spent teaching herself how to sew, shorten hems and add zippers; not to mention an undergrad degree in textiles, she kicked it up a notch. Dana moved back to Brooklyn and spends her time studying at the # 2 best fashion school in the world, Parsons: The New School for Design. Her talents are both concrete and whimsical. Her ideas are certainly not for the timid or bland.
Check out the premiere of her first, finished, fabulous garment of 2011! This Dress is truly amazing, modeled by the designer herself. Gold Metallic long sleeve, with beautiful volume; adorned with black feather accents. In person, the feathers have a deep green sheen to them which works extraordinarily well with the gold. The hem is nice and short, very complimentary to Ms. Boisson's personal style. To top it all off, she created a clutch made of the same dark, raven-like feathers complete with chains. Simply bad ass. It looks to me like she set the new year off right with impeccable style. Can't wait to see what she does for the spring.
