The magic of...

I'm mad over these Mickey Shades from
Patricia Field.
Another home run from one of my favorite brands. You shouldn't sleep on these, the price is completely ridiculous and are perfect for hater-blocking out at the club.

I wanted to re-post this list of UES vintage shops I found on Madison Ave. Spy..Half for your enjoyment & half so I can recall them :) A great way to spend a little time before I head into work at Natty.

Michael’s The Consignment Shop for Women

1041 Madison Avenue (between 79th and 80)
Michael’s consistently has a great selection of various designer handbags and shoes that may tempt you during your consignment appointment. While there was a lone olive Chanel Reissue flap and no Birkens to speak of, their online sale site has a YSL white leather Muse for $595, and a black patent classic Chanel for $1500. In store, there is a great selection of rare Hermes Collier de Chien belts. Black and Brown crocodile versions are $2500 each and the regular chestnut leather version is $1500 (the black leather version is available online). Since 30% markdowns begin after merchandise has been there for 30 days, savvy shoppers may want to wait until the beginning of May to score any of these gorgeous belts. While shopping, we couldn't resist a brand new pair of Balmain suede studded gladiator sandals for $125 that retailed for over $1000 new.

La Boutique Resale
1045 Madison Avenue (near 80th)
A few steps away from Michaels, La Boutique’s main store boasts lots of racks of designer clothing, with jackets and boots currently marked down 20%. Some items that caught our attention were a lovely Chanel metallic reissue medium flap bag for $2500, a Stella McCartney pastel plum colored Falabella tote for $575, and classic Hermes H belts for $400 to$450. Lots of Jimmy Choos currently dominate their modest shoe section.

Encore Resale
1132 Madison Avenue (between 84/85th)
For a wider selection of clothing, Encore should definitely be on your re-sale shopping list, especially since their claim to fame as the first consignment store in the US. Encore has a good selection of high end couture and designer items, like a fabulous vintage Lanvin pink and black polka dot dress for $200 and a sheer silk Prada geometric dress for $180.

A Second Chance Designer Resale
1109 Lexington Avenue (between 77-78th)
A stone’s throw away from Madison Avenue is one of the best places to find vintage and contemporary Chanel handbags and accessories in the city. A gently used patent black 226 classic flap will set you back $2700, while a lovely chestnut leather Hermes Evelyn bag is $999. They also have a great selection of Louis Vuitton handbags, and even a number of large red Goyard travel pieces (at about $2999). They do not have a lot of retail space for clothing, so if you are looking to unload a significant amount of your closet, other stores may be a better bet.

Ina
208 East 73rd St (between 2nd and 3rd)
A bit further off the beaten path you can find the Upper East Side outpost of Ina. (They have four other stores downtown). While their Prince Street location is renowned for high end couture, the plethora of designer shoes for smaller footed (6-7.5) fashionistas was remarkable. Gently used Blahniks, Choos, and Louboutins don’t break the bank at just around $150.

Cut outs in all the right places..

Check this guy out, Herve Leger Cutout bandage swimsuit. I love the color but my favorite part is that it shows off the middle of your stomach and not the sides; keeping everything nice and taut looking because, when you're in a bathing-suit every inch counts...It could also double as a bodysuit under a skirt to go from the pool to dinner or with a high waisted pant for a real chic 70's bite.

For more pictures head to NET-A-PORTER.

"Let it climb, let it ignite..."

I am waiting with baited breath for May 23rd..I need to assess the album as a whole before jumping to any rash decisions...I have some faith in Mama monster. Twenty bucks says we're all dancing our asses off to it on Fire Island come July..and hey, if it doesn't work out this time around she can always run for President in 2012.

Peace,love & wide leg's...

These are a few of my favorite things...

Baked by Melissa rules..Booo you, DC cupcakes..

Groupons,Dailydeals & Yipits. Oh,My!

I am obsessed with any kind of deal..So, for the last eight months my inbox has gotten inundated every morning with hundreds of deals from all different websites.
I have bought everything; Crafting in Brooklyn, Yoga in Midtown and lingerie in the Village.
Some have been successes and others failures. My biggest pitfall has to be exercise deals, they are so alluring and make you feel good about yourself for the rest of the day. You may ask well have I participated in the stiletto work out, boot camp or striper-robic's ? The answer is no, not yet...I will keep you posted on my future adventures and remember these deals ALWAYS come with a nearing expatriation date so use em' or loose em'. All of these companies have App's for Smartphones so the tempt of the deal mixed with the excitement of trying something new is purchased with ease.

I do have to say, they make fun gifts. Girlfriends going to sip cocktails at the Gansevoort with Candace Bushnell on a spring evening sounds rather pleasant and is better than getting her another boxed set of candles from Diptyque.

Check out the sites and poke around, see if anything catches your interest.
They wont all be winners but I think it's worth the gamble.
Check out GiltCity and LivingSocial I have found some of my best ones there.

& Lastly, as having experience being on the receiving end of the deal...Please act right, if you are at a restaurant or getting a facial tip on the original full amount NOT the amount you paid for it...I mean come on' you already got a deal the least you can do is tip correctly, if not generously.
If you are in a store act politely and be honest, there is no need to hide the fact that you have a discount; no one will be mad or treat you any differently. In fact, businesses like to know that the advertising was successful in gaining new clients. So go out there & get your Groupon on.

This one's for you,Boss.

I LOVE this picture, total throwback inspiration...

Just got these..love.

I have been on THE HUNT for a 70's influenced platform and I decided on these, after a quick rendezvous with a different yet similar Giuseppe Zanotti pair. Fun for summer, with a long maxi skirt and cropped layered tops, an amazing light weight scarf and bangles. Take me to a festival, now.

Chaser-ing a Billy Joel t-shirt...

Chaser is my go-to when I want a really soft, sheer, bad ass t-shirt. I have a growing collection that I am adding to all the time. They have graphic t's with all the greats; Queen,Grateful Dead,Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton...So I go to search for my favorite of all time Mr. Billy Joel, No where to be found! We are talking about the Piano Man for god sake. I am extremely disappointed and dream of the day when I can throw on a Billy Chaser with my fine Park Avenue clothes...Other suggestions that are missing from the Chaser collection to my knowledge, Rod Stewart and Elton John...but seriously, if you haven't dabbled with this brand yet it is time to get started. I HIGHLY recommend it.
